Mr. Porter had multiple open felonies and past convictions. We obtained probation for him at a sentencing hearing.

Mr. Porter was charged with four separate batches of felonies in Madison County.  He also had open felonies in St. Charles and St. Clair counties.  He had multiple prior felony convictions.  We negotiated an open plea to two felonies in exchange for a dismissal of the other open cases in Madison County.  At the sentencing hearing the judge gave him probation.  The state had requested he be sentenced to 7 years in prison.  My client was very pleased with the outcome.
