I thought this story is fairly representative of persons charged from out of state while trafficking heroin and other types of narcotics. Methamphetamine is another regularly trafficked substance in Madison County, Illinois. We have two major interstates that run through the county. They are heavily patrolled by Illinois State Police and municipal police. Some of the officers are specially trained in drug interdiction. These two ladies had the unfortunate consequence of being stopped by one of them. They are both facing up to 120 years in prison at 85%.
