Macoupin County DUI Dismissed

My client was charged with a DUI - his second in Macoupin County.  He decided to hire a firm who spends a lot on internet advertising.  The other firm told him they would get him the "best deal" possible on his 2nd DUI.  However, he quickly discovered that they couldn't do much for him.  He hired us to take over representation.  Our concern was avoiding a conviction for his DUI.  We conducted the SSS hearing and lost.  However, during the hearing we discovered how poorly the arresting officer testified.  I advised my client that there was a very good trial opportunity given the nature of testimony from the arresting officer.  He cleared me to try the case.  I prepped, filed the motions, jury instructions, and statement of the case.  Two weeks out from trial the State dismissed the DUI charge.
