My client was charged with Agg. Battery by injection of heroin. She was alleged to have injected a friend in the neck causing an overdose. The "victim" was a voluntary drug user. My client denied injecting her friend instead stating that the friend had already injected herself immediately before she overdosed. We tried the case and won. The State had no offer to us prior to trial. My client was on parole for another heroin related offense at the time of the trial. Below is the hyperlink.
